01

Autonomous data-collection robot

Sole designer of chassis, structure and controls (swerve modules from REV Robotics)

A swerve-drive robot that runs a data-collection task on its own. Each module's steering angle is position-controlled and its translation velocity-controlled, with the loop closed on AprilTag-based visual tracking. A cantilevered payload mount carries 50 kg without deflecting under motion.

02

Foot durability rig

Mechanical design and harnessing; control-gain tuning

An accelerated life-test rig: a lead-screw-driven linear carriage brings the foot down through a compliant ankle, cycling it through Neo's gait profile, based on the ISO 22675 prosthetic-foot standard. Two units have each run past a million cycles.

03

Motor dynamometer fixture redesign

Fixture redesign; machining and sourcing with machinists and supply chain

A reusable dynamometer fixture for actuator testing on Neo's stators: interfacing machined parts replace a single-use thermal-fit housing. The parts locate through thermal interference fits, so the design carries tight GD&T throughout, and it went through design reviews with the senior manager and the director of reliability and quality. Machining and material cost per test drops about 3×, with the same thermal, electrical and vibration load capability.
