ThermaChill
A neck-worn thermal comfort device with dual heating and cooling

- under 2 lb
- 70–78 °F
- ~$91 part cost
A wearable that both cools and heats: two ABS injection-molded fans, and a fabric-covered heating element of AL-380 aluminum and copper tubing, holding the wearer between 70 and 78 °F. The modular ABS shell is designed for injection molding, with transition fits for the buttons and PCBs (~5 and 14 mm holes) and close running fits for the fan motors (~10 mm). It runs on a battery with USB-C charging, targets 10 hours per charge, weighs under 2 lb, and costs about $91 per part against roughly $96,000 in tooling.
